Options
I push this big time with my clients.
Male or female.
The goal is to have options.
You must be pragmatic in romance.
Two rules to live by:
You get your equivalent
If you want better than be better yourself
My role, I help my clients get what they want as long as it’s not illegal. I also help my clients process the decisions they make, nuance scenarios and parlay choices into options.
If you’re attracting who you want, your standards are fine.
But ad nauseam, I will have a man or woman, tell me they can’t find what they want. They blame it on others. Usually, it’s not the others who are the problem. It’s YOU.
If you’re attracting who you want, two things are in play. You have what others want, and you’re aiming for your equivalent. You get results.
But if you’re complaining that all the women are b!tches or all the men are dogs, basically it’s everyone’s fault but your own, that you’re single, most likely you’re aiming for more than what you actually are.
If you were aiming for your equivalent, you would have someone.
The trick, to find someone who likes what you have to offer and vice versa.
Equivalent doesn’t mean tit for tat similarities, it means you have X which I want, and I have Y which you want, viola it’s a match.
For example, many women want a tall man, it’s the current shtick in the mainstream.
Yet that requirement is cutting your options as only 14.5% of US men are 6’
So let me get this straight, you only want 6’ yet you also have to consider your other criteria such as age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, political beliefs, religious beliefs, desire or ability to have a family, proximity and availability, as well as personality preferences. The more requirements you have, the smaller your pool. It’s math.
Why limit yourself.
The fewer filters you have for superficial things, the more options.
I’ve pushed my female clients to give a man a chance, even if he was shorter than what she originally wanted. I encourage you, to at least see if you have anything in common with someone and if you have chemistry with them, sans an arbitrary height requirement.
Why limit yourself.
There’s nothing wrong with preferences, but keeping an open mind, will allow you to have options. That will net you results.
