Love you Rachael! My kid's mom developed a mental illness after our 2nd child and relapsed into substance abuse. There are things that matter more than life. I could not save her from herself but I could save our children. Losing custody of our children gave her a desire to get help. It was ok for people to criticize me. They didn't understand. I grew up with abuse, I did understand. I was responsible for my children. I am glad for the grace of God that gave me the grace to go to court, again and again and the police, untill my children were safe. Children matter. And their mother mattered. Consequences, tough love, may save a person's life. Thanks again for speaking out!
