Belief in the human spirit and desire to connect, is the reason that I want to tell your Story and mine. That’s what I say at the start of my Stories podcast. My most recent guest, Pete Parada, was all heart. He shared his Story, what it was like making a stand for his own personal autonomy and medical freedom. For this choice, he was ostracized by those he thought were his friends.
It was quite an interview. I was very fortunate to dodge the federal contractor's mandate, and fortunately my university did not mandate vaccines. But I knew that if I had been confronted with a mandate and exemptions didn't work, not complying would mean the end of my academic career. We had many faculty that were maniacal and quite upset that our University did not mandate the shots. Now it's pretty quiet.
