OK, and why isn't the phrasing, "I'm so lucky to have met her" vs you imply she's lucky that you, as the senior, agreed to marry
Interesting, the way you phrase it
Perhaps what I should have said is that we’re both lucky to have met each other.
I proposed to her and she accepted without a moments hesitation.
For the record, we are both seniors. I turned 65 in late December/23 and her 65th will be in September of this year
