I have been in 15 countries.
My business partner, Jaime Rodriguez, has been in 31 countries.
It’s important that you apprise yourself of geopolitics, history, politics and financials.
It’s vital to have an awareness of the world around you, we’re more interconnected than ever before.
My lane is relationships. Having a cosmopolitan worldview is relevant for my work.
You can be dating a person with a different ethnicity.
You can be in a romance with someone from a different culture.
You can be in a relationship with a person who’s in a different country.
In my Life Coach, I’ve gotten the scenario where a person is romantically interested in someone who lives in a different country. That’s the PRESENTING PROBLEM, that’s specifically why I’m being initially contacted for Life Coach sessions. Then in therapy, I’ve had clients who’re romantically interested in someone from a different culture. My clients can also be dating someone who’s a different ethnicity than their own.
CULTURE
COUNTRY
ETHNICITY
These are the 3 cosmopolitan factors that can also be in play in romance today.
You’re no longer limited to the people in your small town as romantic options. Now you can choose to like or love someone who lives in another state or even in another country.
You don’t have to date someone who looks just like you. Perhaps you find yourself attracted to new looks, there’s a lot of variety in this world.
You’re not stuck with what you’ve known. You can experiment and experience other cultures via the context of romance.
I’ve seen all 3 play out in dating, relationships, and marriage. The big 3 cosmopolitan factors: Culture, Country, Ethnicity. You better get caught up to speed, if you plan to like or love someone, cross culturally, internationally, ethnically different than yourself.
You are a white woman, but you’re sexually attracted to Latino men. ETHNICITY
You are a Hispanic girl, but you think Asian men are good looking. ETHNICITY
You are Canadian, but your husband is from Nepal. COUNTRY
You are a US citizen, but your girlfriend comes from Mexico. COUNTRY
You come from a Greek family; certain things are done differently. CULTURE.
Your relatives are Norwegian heritage; there are still remnants of that. CULTURE.
Relationships are my lane. Cross cultural, different ethnicities and different countries are the big 3 cosmopolitan factors that I’ve seen play out in romance. From crush to dating and even marriage, sometimes you like or love someone who looks different than you, that’s ETHNICITY, who may have a different world view than you, that’s CULTURAL, and who may even live in a different COUNTRY.
Thankfully for you, when you work with me, not only have I lived in 3 countries, but I’ve also been to 15 different countries. My business partner Jaime Rodriguez has also lived in 3 countries; he’s traveled internationally to 31 countries.
You want to have a cosmopolitan world view.
The world is international; not only for professional but now also for personal.
You are no longer limited in LIKE + LOVE.
Now you can have a crush or fall in love with someone who’s culturally different, from another country and also a different ethnicity than yourself.
Romance in the modern world.
